Financing Tuition Fees

Students pay 25 per cent of the tuition fee at the time of enrolment. The remaining 75 per cent of the tuition fee would be due for payment on or before the 1st day of the month that the student proposes to start training.

Academy of Business Strategy training programmes are registered with the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and the Learning Skills Council (LSC). Consequently they are eligible for Career Development Loans.

This enables students to obtain financial assistance for vocational training, that is to say, training that will lead to greater employment opportunities, either as an internal employee, or as an independent consultant. Career Development Loans are available for up to £8,000.00 and are funded by one of three participating banks in the form of a traditional loan, (Barclays, Royal Bank of Scotland and the Co-operative Bank), this is then supported by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES).

Students have a two year repayment holiday with their Career Development Loan, which means that they do not need to start repaying it until after they have qualified as a Post-Graduate Certified Professional Consultant (CPC) and completed their training.

The Department for Education and Skills (DfES) pay all of the interest on the loan during the period while students are training. This therefore proves to be a useful means of delaying risk without incurring any additional cost. By the time that you need to consider repaying your Career Development Loan, you should have an established portfolio of clients and a tried and tested consulting service based upon your own core skills and experience.

Repayment periods of up to five years can then be agreed, commencing from the day when training has been completed. The Academy of Business Strategy (DfES) registration number is 10400.
